Michael Bradley Thrush (aka “Thrash”) was born in a small town in Pennsylvania called Waynesboro on August 15, 1981. He moved to southern California in 1990 with his parents and 3 siblings.

Mike was always interested in sports and music since he was a little guy and started dabbling with those interests at a young age. He started playing piano and drums in elementary school but also wanted to play sports. Being a little guy, he was not very good at baseball for the 4 years he tried; mostly getting hit by a pitch, striking out, or walking.

He decided baseball was not very fun so he gave soccer a go.

He signed up for AYSO Region 67 and was drafted to the Dream Team – rightly named after the 1992 USA Gold Medal winning Dream Team… After playing with various teams throughout his AYSO career, including the Dream Team II, the Aztecs, and the Warriors, Mike was asked to play club soccer.

Throughout Jr. High and High School, Mike continued playing soccer and being involved with music. His time in high school soccer brought a varsity Co-Captain nomination and a League Title his senior year. His club team also enjoyed one of the all time local soccer upsets when his Silver Elite team defeated one of two USA South Africa World Championship teams, Breakaway 1-0.

His reputation for drumming earned him the nickname “Thrasher” while in high school. Thrasher played in a rock band called AYS all through high school that continued in to college.

After high school, Mike continued his education at Azusa Pacific University. In college, Mike worked at the local Sam’s Club in the produce section, earned his degree in Business Marketing, and enjoying gigging all over the southland in his dream to pursue rock stardom.

Mike did not pursue a collegiate soccer career, instead opting for the ultra-competitive intercollegiate intramural program. Mike suffered a semi-serious face injury in his second week of college as a freshmen playing flag football but also enjoyed 4 years of being on the Blazing Stallions soccer team that earned 3 trips to the championship game. Although never winning an intramural championship, the Blazing Stallions earned a reputation for being awesome.

Thrasher’s music opportunities increased as he was sought after to join the band No Bare Feet. After meeting with the band and their manager multiple times, Thrash decided to join the Hawaii based band. No Bare Feet spent the next few years writing, recording, and playing live shows pursuing rock stardom.

When No Bare Feet broke up, Thrash decided to work with his then Band-mate Matty and then Band-manager Greg for their company So Cal Training, LLC.
