THE CLASSROOM
Reinforcing What We Teach | Step By StepThe Classroom provides a unique opportunity for all SCT members to reinforce the elements that are taught during our training session.
Combining both still photographs as well as high definition video of moves, the SCT staff is able to help break down every move or combo; exposing key elements to successful completion of the lesson; pinpointing trouble areas that will allow the athlete to correct these common mistakes; enabling the athlete to take full advantage of training time by doing the drills properly and with technical accuracy.
Featured Moves
The SCT Staff will continue to showcase various items from within The Classroom. These tiems might be simple follow ups to that which was done during the week or based upon SCT Staff observations during training, league play, and tournaments.
Sole Behind to Drag
Overview
2 move combos are used when you have multiple defenders on you or you have a smart defender that does'nt fall for the first move.
Setting It Up
Your prep touch is what starts most moves so when you get a defender to go for the ball use your sole behind. As the defender stays with you they will read your move and step towards the ball as it comes around, that's when you drag the ball with your opposite foot square back across your body and explode past the beaten defender.
Technique
Practice this move slowly keeping your toes pointed and ankle locked.
Notes
Once you have it down attempt this combonation at full speed to see it's effectiveness.
